Students get in free with a VCU student ID. Everyone else starts at $10.

On a Siegel Center game day, everything around the arena is within walking distance. Park, grab a bite, catch the game and keep the night going.

90 minutes to tip

Start with a good meal. Both of these are an easy walk from the arena.

Village Cafe

Casual and classic. A laid-back VCU-area favorite with a little of everything. It works for any tip time.

Edo’s Squid

Dinner worth sitting down for. Italian, seafood and big plates made for sharing, upstairs at 411 N Harrison St. It’s dinner only from 5 p.m., so save it for evening games. Reservations recommended.

45 minutes to tip

Head to Broad and Harrison. Aim to get there 30 to 45 minutes before tip. Picking up tickets? Will call opens an hour before tip at the VCU ticket office near the main entrance. Tip times are on the official schedule.

  • VCU students: your VCU student ID gets you in free. There’s nothing to claim ahead of time. The student entrance is on the east end of the arena.
  • Everyone else: your ticket is on your phone. Add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet before you go, and don’t print it.
  • Bags: the Siegel Center is clear-bag only, up to 12 x 12 x 6 inches. No backpacks, and once you leave, there’s no re-entry.

Once you’re in

  • Check in: open The Board and tap Check in for 3,000 points. It opens 30 minutes before tip.
  • Students: head to the student section and get in on it.
  • First game? Find a seat, grab some food and get ready to cheer.
  • How long: about two hours from tip to the final buzzer.
  • Watch for in-game promotions on most nights.

Coming alone? Do it. The student section is an easy place to meet people and get loud.

After the final buzzer

Two late-night stops a short walk from the arena:

Christian’s Pizza

Need something savory? A quick slice at 404 N Harrison St, right by the arena and open late.

Insomnia Cookies

Sweet tooth? Warm cookies at 918 W Grace St, a few blocks away and open late.

Forgot to check in? Check-in stays open for 3 hours after tip.
