Terms

Short version: it’s free, it’s a game, it ends in December, and we delete everything when it does.

The site

• UNcommonVCU is a student project produced for a marketing course at Virginia Commonwealth University during the fall 2026 semester. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by VCU or VCU Athletics.
• Player and coach information is drawn from public sources and written by us. Errors are ours; tell us and we’ll fix them.
• Links to tickets go to VCU’s official box office. We don’t sell anything and we don’t handle payments.

The Board

• Free to play. No entry fee, no purchase, no money at any stage.
• Points have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be redeemed for money or physical goods.
• Team and game outcomes only. There are no markets on individual players.
• VCU student-athletes, coaches and athletics department staff may not participate.
• One account per person. Picks lock at the scheduled tip-off. Attendance resolves on the announced figure; stats resolve on the official box score.
• Full rules and scoring: How it works. We may correct scoring errors and may remove accounts that abuse the game.

Your account and your data

• We collect your email address and a username. Your username and points appear on the public leaderboard; your email never does.
• We email you about the game only. Every message has an unsubscribe link, and your account page has a switch.
• You can ask us to delete your account at any time from your account page or by replying to any email we send.

December

The project ends with the semester. When it does, the entire database — every account, email address, pick and point — is permanently deleted. Nothing is handed to anyone. If you want to keep in touch with the team, follow VCU Athletics directly. See the privacy policy.
